Eligibility
Only sophomores in the Georgetown University College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Foreign Service and McDonough School of Business are eligible to apply for the Film and Media Studies minor. There is no minimum GPA requirement, however, all applicants must be in good academic standing.

The Application
The application consists of 4 mandatory parts; general information, an essay explaining your interest in the minor, a 2-year plan explaining how you plan to complete the requirements, and the contact information of a faculty member willing to act as your reference, and 1 optional part; a portfolio or link to previous film or other related media work.

Film and Media Studies Requirements
The Film and Media Studies minor involves 5 required courses and 1 required elective. For more information on the curriculum, please review the Courses page on this site.
